Wizards are advanced Mages who have chosen to continue a life of both study and adventuring. As such, they retain their ability to cast Mage spells, but also gain the ability to learn spells too advanced for a Mage to learn.
Like Mages, Wizards lack combat skills, but because of their knowledge of the arcane, they are still a force to be reckoned with. They are able to cast more plentiful and more powerful spells than Mages which are learned from great arcane secrets.
Rumors abound that the Wizard Guild holds some knowledge as yet untaught that will allow a wizard even greater control of their spells, as well as greater mastery of things arcane in general.
Only the most intelligent of mages seek to join this guild, as the rigors of learning new spells and new arcane knowledge can tax even the most intellectual of mages.
