new mage and wizard spells

hey, could be just me but they seem a bit weak to me, don't seem to do much. maybe if there was some more wizards an such thered be more input here, Josh

Keep playing with them and tell me if you still feel that way after a solid day of use. Keep in mind too that since the spells can essentially be used without limit (you will always have enough mana for a melee cast of a basic spell), they will do about as much damage as a melee weapon attack, which means you can hunt forever using magic. Also, some spells get considerably more powerful with training and with the Synergy / Absolution abilities.

I'd have to say if the point of this rebuild wasto balance it, then there still is more to do for the mages and wizards. i can spend like 5-10 minutes killin a troll with my wizard, and i do run out of spells. i only used one high level then singe and zap. with my barbarian on the other hand i can kill a troll in like 5 seconds.

I agree, though posted in the wizard forum...The spells are nice, and it's also rather considerate to have so many different spells bestowed upon the guild, but when comparing a spell cast to a melee swing, it doesn't seem quite even with the damage we're seeing in game...and then to consider how many levels it takes to achieve the synergy/absorbtion and still have a gnome live through a cast of a level 5 spell that isn't introductory level...things are just off...I'll toy around some more and keep an open mind for tonight, but this seems to be the way things worked last eve.
