If you're going for entirely new areas, I think all the lower levels are pretty well done in terms of things to hunt. You'll kill dozens of different enemy types between levels 1 and 20.
I'd say it'd be nice to have some alternatives to jungathas and crictons, preferably things that drop loot. Slugging through those levels is slow and relatively boring when the only thing you get out of it is experience. There's no surprise magics to fuel ambition.
Also I think it'd be neat if there was another place to hunt besides goblins when starting out. Maybe some morality affiliated areas, like say if a person wanted to role play as an evil character, they'd start out killing good things.. like faeries or something. Maybe Semanri Guard Trainees! And if they wanted to roleplay as a good character they'd start out killing lowbrow bandits and petty violent criminals. Just some food for thought.
Anyway, if you're just out to mix some pre-existing critters together in new hunting areas, I'm all for that as well. I've got a few ideas, such as the Jungathas versus the Crictons, as boring as they may be. They're both violent creatures living on a small island together, yet they have no contested territory.. Feels a little too divided to me. I think it'd be neat to have an area where young crictons try to hunt down the bigger jungathas. And you can hunt down both of them.
I could go on forever, you really should just get me on there as help! Happy Birthday by the way! Sorry I missed it.

"This will not stand! I bring you the devil bear's wife."
"But.. Ulric.. I kinda wanted my own wife back..."
"You have no concept of justice, enjoy your new wife."
